I let myself do whatever I wanted with this piece.

I actually planned on painting another layer over it, but the longer I sat with it, the more I started noticing all the little things I loved. The drip marks. The imperfections. The places where you can see that I didn't overwork it or try to make everything feel finished and perfect.

And I just FELL in love with all of it.

There was something about the looseness of it that felt so good, and suddenly I couldn't bear to paint over any of those little marks.

Sometimes knowing when to stop is the hardest part. 🤍
