“Chasing Petals” | 16 x 20 | Floating Walnut Frame

This piece begins with a richly layered surface of acrylic paint, tissue paper, mud, crayon, and fluid ink—materials built up over time to create depth, texture, and history within the painting.

From there, I paint into the negative space, allowing the flowers to slowly reveal themselves, emerging intuitively from the marks and layers beneath. The process is both playful and expressive, guided by instinct as the composition finds its balance.
